    Primary Responsibilities //

    The Project Manager will be responsible for the timing, budget, and quality of each project by executing project plans utilizing the following:

    • Create and maintain project timelines.

    • Utilize current Project Timeline Template.

    • Hold supply chain, contributors, and stakeholders accountable to meet deliverables.

    • Communicate changes or potential issues to stakeholders.

    • Create and maintain project estimates and financial summaries.

    • Utilize current Estimate Template and financial Summary Templates.

    • Maintain sold-on margins and communicate variances to stake holders.

    • Create and maintain quality plans.

    • Utilize current Quality Plan Template

    • Ensure that finished projects meet or exceed defined quality expectations.

    • Complete all deliverables in the PORTER project process.

    • Communicate updates to all stake holders including clients.

    Advanced Skills //

    • Create & execute project plans.

    • Trouble shoot and solve production issues independently.

    • Source materials, components, and vendors for new or uncommon products.

    • Independently manage sales team & client communications through the project process.

    • Thrive in a fast paced and multitasking environment, managing multiple projects and clients at one time.

    Opportunity //

    PORTER is looking for an Environmental/Industrial Designer with at least 4 years of experience in retail and hospitality environments. As a Designer for PORTER, you will be developing, designing, implementing, and preparing the roll out of crafted, brand-based solutions for clients in the retail and hospitality industries. In this role you will be working closely with multiple disciplines within PORTER and directly with clients. A positive attitude, sense of humor and openness to give and receive constructive feedback are a must.

    Responsibilities //

    • Develop architectural and/or industrial design and visualization for a range of branded environments, structures, and products.

    • Assist throughout all phases of projects, planning and pre-design, schematic design, design development and production.

    • Collaborate with the PORTER team to deliver a cohesive branded approach to each experience.

    • Develop evocative 3D renderings that immerse clients in our solutions and showcase the effectiveness of our ideas.

    • Create floor plans, site plans, material studies and production documents that will thoroughly communicate design intent to both internal production team members and external architectural and production partners.

    • Select material samples and put together a material boards for client presentations.

    Experience //

    • An experienced 3D designer or architectural designer who can develop structural solutions that solve the challenges of a client brief, the complexity of a site and the goals of a consumer brand.

    • A visionary thinker who can create bold, inventive solutions that define how brands connect with consumers.

    • An expert in how humans move through and interact with their physical space. Someone in tune with how built environments can influence the way people think, feel and behave.

    • Familiarity with retail environments and nomenclature,

    • A detail-oriented and meticulous designer.

    Education //

    Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, industrial design or equivalent knowledge gained from education and/or work experience in design or related field.

    Skills //

    • Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape, Layout, and Adobe CC is a must. Proficiency in 3D based programs such as AutoCAD, 3D Studio, Cinema 4D, Rhino or Maya is a plus. High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Internet applications.

    • Ability to quickly communicate modeled concepts and ideas over online communications.

    • Ability to read, understand and create architectural drawings.

    • Excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills including analysis, interpretation & reasoning.

    • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.

    • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and time-management/priority-setting skills.

    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines.

    Portfolio //

Your portfolio should illustrate the process of design, from concept through finished renderings or production photos/examples.
