In order to make coffee shops more accessible during the pandemic, Starbucks has plans to close 400 of their sit-down cafes and build 300 of their new pick-up locations. The new design is minimalistic with no seating, and customers place orders ahead of time using the mobile app to save on their waiting time inside the location.
